Budget Scope/Estimate:

Project Information:
Although everybody at the GRR Airport Security office was great to work with, completing the sitework, specifically the main storm sewer system and the concrete apron, was a real challenge as a large portion of the work was on the secure side of the AOA (Airport Operations Area). Beyond getting all subcontractors and employees badged to work within the AOA, the phasing of the sitework required close coordination and planning with Airport Security, Airport Engineering, TSA and neighboring Hangars to ensure AOA security barriers were maintained at all times while we installed the main storm sewer system for the property and subsequently connecting the apron to the existing taxiway. FCC was able to phase construction to complete the Hangar structure and final AOA security barrier including a 28'x100' Hangar door, 10' tall security fencing and security gate prior to finishing sitework all within the original schedule developed during preconstruction.
